Rappers like Kodak Black & Waka Flocka Flame are getting their events canceled due to Donald Trump's support

Updated: Nov 9

Two of Donald Trump’s biggest hip-hop supporters recently got their events canceled after the re-elected 47th president big win.

Wacka Flocka and Kodak Black canceled over Political Views

Hip-Hop was rooted in politics and social justice and a diversity of voices. But now, fans are putting it to a stop, and rappers are now getting canceled for it.

Kodak Black, is a known Trump supporter who had a prison sentence commuted by the ex-POTUS back in 2021. However, this could result in some negative consequences for him.

On Friday (Nov. 8.), TMZ reported that Yak's West Palm Beach charity event was recently canceled abruptly, and he suspects it allegedly has something to do with Trump winning the election. Allegedly, he made a deal to host the event at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches over a month ago. Earlier this week, law enforcement and event organizers shut down the plan, citing security as a major concern. Bradford Cohen, Kodak Black's lawyer, tells the outlet he thinks this is allegedly all political.

"It seems very convenient that they canceled the event the day after the election," Kodak Black's lawyer explained. Cohen also alleged that event organizers are now in breach of contract. Reportedly, Kodak has already dished out roughly $200K for the event, coordinating security, medical services, and more. "All public events must be permitted by the City of West Palm Beach. As of this time, the City has not issued a permit for Kodak Black Day, and therefore the event is not currently authorized to be held," general manager of CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches Mike Sophia told TMZ.

Waka Flocka Flame has also been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump for years now. In October, the rapper shared a photo of himself standing next to Trump with the caption, "Trump 2024." In 2021, Trump honored Waka with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his philanthropic efforts and work with the non-profit Daughter of Destiny Outreach program. Trump signed the award in 2020.

"Lifetime Achievement Award. I gotta thank my pastor/big sisterApostle Dr. Bridget C. Outlaw for teaching and guiding me on this journey God got us on I'm just honored. S/O to my president!!!," Waka wrote on his Instagram.

Waka defended his support this week for Trump despite not voting in this election—or any election, for that matter. The rapper’s records were revealed on the website didmyfriendvote.org.

Waka took to Twitter X on November 5, stating, “Keep worry about me not voteN… Y’all mad because i know we second-class citizens…. Idgaf but i pay attention to who [wind emoji]’n… my voice bigger then my vote.. ain’t no punking me!!! Fake Bully’s.”

This week, there was a promoter (apparently a wine or liquor company or something) that booked Waka for a show. Then, out of nowhere, they pulled the plug. Why? Straight up, because of his political stance. They claim they had no idea he was riding for Trump and that they’re “not political” or even “a music person.” Bruh. How do you not know this? His customers were loud, and they made it clear they don’t want Waka.

Anyway, they canceled his show, and they’re probably just gonna eat that deposit. One thing’s for sure—they’re definitely selling Uncle Nearest, that Black owned whiskey! Looks like they’re taking a stand against MAGA. I love it.
