Tory Lanez releases new album recorded in prison titled ‘PETERSON’


The Canadian rapper has dropped a new album—recorded fully from behind bars.

Tory Lanez has shared that the new album title is taken from his surname, Peterson, the sequel to his 2020 album, Daystar, which is his first name. The accompanying cover art features a shirtless snap of the Canadian artist, seemingly from prison, where he’s serving a 10-year sentence over the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.


On Friday (March 7), Tory Lanez released a new album, ‘Peterson,’ a prison recording project. Check it out below.



 

Ahead of the prison album. Tory Lanez hopped on Instagram Tuesday (March 4), the Toronto native announced that Peterson (which is his last name) will arrive in just a few days on Friday (March 7) and will be a sequel to his 2020 album, Daystar (his first name).


“Dear 2025 … This COMEBACK is PERSONAL,” he wrote in the caption.  “ALBUM NAME – PETERSON. SEQUEL OF – DAYSTAR. FRIDAY !”
