Steve Harvey on “Hater” seemingly addresses Katt Williams Club Shay Shay comments: “I’d Knock Your Short A** Out”
The host of Family Feud has seemingly taken aim at Katt Williams 8 months after the comic insulted him and several other stand-ups on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast.
Steve Harvey took some time to seemingly shade Katt Williams, who had spoken about him during his explosive appearance on Club Shay Shay at the top of the year. Harvey was a guest speaker at Invest Fest in Atlanta and spoke to the audience about paying no attention to haters.
In a crowd-recorded clip from Atlanta’s Invest Fest on Saturday (Aug. 24), Steve Harvey, is seen telling the crowd not to entertain “haters,” noting that they often aren’t doing better than the person they’re critiquing.
“You'll never have a hater that's doing better than you, always know that,” Harvey told the audience. “Don't get off the wall to address some petty-ass boy who ain't got shit going for himself, stop your climb on up the wall so you can come down here and talk to his little punk ass.”
The Family Feud host then added, “I just don’t have the quickness I had, but I can still turn my hip and shift that weight, and I’d knock yo’ short a** out. I’d shoot yo’ perm straight out yo’ head.” Check out the clip below.
During Katt's visit to the Club Shay Shay podcast back in January of 2024, the comic took aim at several of his peers, accusing Harvey of stealing the concept of his 1990s sitcom The Steve Harvey Show from Mark Curry’s Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper.
“The same Steve that went to go watch Mark Curry do his whole sitcom and then stole everything Mark Curry had…Now Steve got a sitcom where he’s the principal and he wears a suit,” Williams told host Shannon Sharpe at the time before insulting Harvey’s skills as an actor.
“You couldn’t be a movie star…There are 30,000 new scripts in Hollywood every year. Not one of them asked for a country bumpkin Black dude that can’t talk good … and look like Mr. Potato Head. There ain’t none. You have to have range.”
