Soulja Boy responds to backlash for performing at the Crypto Ball, the rapper gives “No F*cks”

The “Crank That” rapper defended his decision to perform at Donald Trump's Crypto Ball by calling out former President Barack Obama and Kamala Harris.

Soulja Boy also showed off the money he received for the Crypto Ball performance

Soulja Boy went on a cursing rant at critics over set at Donald Trump’s Crypto Ball.

Nelly, Snoop Dogg, and Soulja Boy were among the hip-hop stars who performed at the event. However, the three musicians were criticized for their performance this past Friday.

The 34-year-old rapper hasn't wasted time in defending himself amid the backlash. In an Instagram Live video, he called out former president Barack Obama, outgoing vice president, and Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Soulja Boy said, “They paid me a bag. Obama ain't never put no money in my f-cking pockets, n-gga. Kamala ain't never put no money in my f-cking pockets, n-gga. Trump put money in my pockets, n-gga.”

Soulja wondered what the backlash against him, Snoop Dogg, and Rick Ross was about, given that Trump wasn't even present at the event.

Soulja said, “Y'all suck my d-ck, n-gga.” Y'all want me to not answer the phone for the f-cking president?

This n-gga [is] the president of the motherf-cking United States. Trump wasn't even there. It wasn't even a Trump event. It was the Crypto Ball for crypto.”

Soulja Boy went ahead to state that he would perform again if Trump wanted him to, saying, “And I'll go again.”

However, the erratic rapper's nature came to the fore in another part of the livestream when he admitted to being misled about the Crypto Ball.

Soulja Boy said, “I ain't going to lie, though. Them folks did try to trick me, though. Halfway, I was like, 'Man, f-ck this n-gga Trump. I don't f-ck with this n-gga, then halfway, I was like, 'N-gga, the president.' You feel me? But whatever, man...the n-gga wasn't there.”

After receiving backlash from the public, Nelly defended his decision to perform at President Trump’s inauguration ball.

Snoop Dogg is also being heavily criticized for his decision to perform at the soiree. The negative response he’s received is due to the controversial comments Donald Trump made throughout his campaign. Not long after, a clip of Snoop Dogg began circulating where he referred to Black artists who performed at Trump’s 2017 inauguration as “Uncle Toms.” However, it looks like he’s changed his tune.

Last year in November, Snoop revealed that he wasn’t a part of the Republican or Democratic parties, just the “gangsta party.” Snoop said he doesn’t “believe in separating people” for politics. “I’m not looking for separation... I’m not looking for division…I’m looking for people to come together. The Doggystyle rapper noted that he removed himself from the scene during election time and revealed it was a calculated move.
