Snoop Dogg seemingly calls out Recording Academy / GRAMMYs for receiving 16 Nominations but Never Winning an Award

The West Coast OG has scored 16 nominations without a single win.

The Doggfather shades The Grammys for not winning an Award in New Instagram Post

Snoop Dogg blasts Grammy Awards for snubbing him.

The Long Beach, Calif. native is one of four rappers who've been nominated for at least 10 Grammys but have yet to win an award: Travis Scott (10), Busta Rhymes (12), Nicki Minaj (12), and the Doggfather (16). Snoop has more nominations than many winless icons outside of hip-hop as well, including Diana Ross, Katy Perry, Sia, and Musiq Soulchild.

Snoop has been nominated in several Grammys categories including Best Rap Song (“Drop It Like It’s Hot,” 2005), Best Rap Solo Performance (“Gin and Juice,” 1995), Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (“Beautiful,” 2004) and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group (“Still D.R.E.,” 2000). He has also earned two nods in the Album of the Year category thanks to his contributions to Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly and Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream, while his Reincarnated LP (which was released under the name Snoop Lion) was up for Best Reggae Album in 2014.

And yet, the Grammys have failed to honor the 52-year-old for his legendary career.

On Monday (Feb. 5.), In the post, Uncle Snoop hopped on Instagram, sharing a screenshot with "no caption" of an article by Business Insider listing him among the best artists without a win.

Snoop has every right to feel a way, given his accolades through the years and his legendary status.

Snoop Dogg's post came just hours after Jay-Z called out the Grammys while accepting the second annual Dr. Dre Global Impact Award.

In Jay-Z’s speech in which he called out the Recording Academy, Hov pointed a finger at the Recording Academy for not giving Beyoncé a long-delayed Grammy Award for Album of the Year despite her being the most-decorated artist in Grammy history with 32 wins.

"I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year," Jay-Z said about his wife of nearly 16 years. "So even by your own metrics that doesn't work. Think about that. Most Grammys, never won Album of the Year, that doesn't work."

Snoop shared the clip on his IG Sunday night along with a quick congrats for Jay.
