Regina Hall says she’s open to returning for ‘Scary Movie 6’

“We’ll see if Brenda is in this new world. I’m thrilled at the possibility that the band could get back together again. That would be fun.”

Regina Hall reacted to ‘Scary Movie 6’ and revealed whether or not she's interested in starring in the film

Regina Hall gives hope for ‘Brenda’ potential ‘Scary Movie’ franchise return.

Since news broke that Scary Movie is getting rebooted with the Wayans Brothers. According to Deadline, Keenen Ivory Wayans, who co-wrote and directed the first two Scary Movie installments, and fellow co-writers Marlon and Shawn Wayans, will reconnect for their third flick in the franchise.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Regina Hall was asked about acting in Scary Movie 6 and how her beloved Scary Movie co-star Anna Faris had recently said that she will only appear in the film as Cindy Campbell if Regina agrees to star in it with her.

Regina said: "Anna is great. I’m just very excited to know that the Wayans, who actually started the project out of their idea, are back on board and at the helm again. I’m excited for them. We’ll see if Brenda is in this new world. I’m thrilled at the possibility that the band could get back together again. That would be fun."

Released in 2000 and 2001, respectively, Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2 included an all-star cast of Anna Faris, Jon Abrahams, Regina Hall, Shannon Elizabeth, Kathleen Robertson, David Cross and Tim Curry. Both were also worldwide box office hits, amassing $277.2 million (Scary Movie) and $141 million at the global box office. With a $42.3 million opening weekend, Scary Movie also pulled the largest box office numbers for an R-rated and Black-directed movie, both records which have since been broken by Deadpool & Wolverine and Black Panther.
