Nas shares Video for New Song “EPMD”
Nas and Hit-Boy has unleashed the official video for their latest collaboration ‘EPMD’.
The joint appeared on the soundtrack to the film Judas and the Black Messiah, an American biographical drama about the betrayal of Fred Hampton (played by Daniel Kaluuya). The effort arrived just months after the two joined forces on the King’s Disease album last year.
The album was entirely produced by Hit-Boy and eventually earned them a Best Rap Album GRAMMY win last month. Watch Nas and Hit takes over a mansion in Beverly Hills—where JAY-Z once hosted his Roc Nation Pre-Grammy Brunch—and lives like a king, sipping Hennessy as bikini-clad women strut around the manicured grounds of the sprawling property.
“Reclaim our cultural ownership. Don’t compromise. Don’t cross over,” reads a powerful message at the beginning of the Child-directed video. “Respect to the kings. Love to the queens.”
“EPMD” can be found on Judas and the Black Messiah: The Inspired Album, which also features appearances from JAY-Z, Nipsey Hussle, A$AP Rocky, H.E.R., Lil Durk, Polo G, and more.
