Lil Wayne’s daughter slams people hating on father’s ‘SNL 50’ Performance.

Weezy's eldest child Reginae Carter defends father after ‘SNL 50’ performance backlash
Lil Wayne 'performed Super Bowl halftime show' on Saturday Night Live 50 special.
The New Orleans rap legend performed a medley of his hit songs on Sunday (Feb. 16.), with The Roots acting as his backing band, some critics used his performance as an example of why he wasn't selected to play the Super Bowl, per TMZ. Wayne performed several of his hits, including “Uproar,” 2011’s “6 Foot 7 Foot,” and 2008’s “Lollipop,” “Mrs. Officer,” and “A Milli.”
His performance reignited the conversation on social media about whether he should have performed at Super Bowl 59 at the Caesars Superdome in his hometown of New Orleans earlier this month.
"Lil Wayne not performing at the Super Bowl was a crime," one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Another added, "Whoever booked @LilWayne and let him do all these songs… right after the Super Bowl in Nola situation… said, “Check (pause) (smirk) mate.” #SNL50. I love it. Truly."
"The energy, the breath control, the stage presence.. and y’all had the nerve to say Wayne couldn’t headline the Super Bowl," another person chimed in.
In response, Wayne's daughter Reginae Carter addressed the backlash in The Shade Room’s Instagram comment section, firmly defending her father’s performance while also pointing out that Super Bowl performers do not get paid for their appearances. “Y’all are some d riders!” she wrote. “My dad been having fun performing for years! He is truly himself when he hit the stage. Go play with y’all mf kids .. he collected a check after this .. what y’all get for hating? Not a damn thing!”
