Joe Budden reacts to Drake trolling him on Instagram: ‘I'm Not Doing a Back-and-Forth With a Corpse’

Joe Budden only likes “Drake with the melodies,” but he’s far less amused by finding himself featured on the rapper’s finsta.

The ‘Pump It Up’ rapper responds to Drake posting him via his finsta IG: “Don’t shoot back at me now that you ice cold.”

Joe Budden calls Drake a corpse and refuses to go back and forth with the Toronto rapper after he posted a video of Joe on finsta.

On Tuesday, (Feb. 11), a slow-motion clip of Budden exiting a vehicle while smoking appeared on the Drake-associated @plottttwistttttt page. Soundtracking the footage is “Let It All Work Out,” Lil Wayne’s 2018 album Tha Carter V.

“Hey, Drake, don’t shoot at me mad that you ice cold,” Budden said in a recent podcast conversation touching on the IG moment. “I’m not doing a back-and-forth with a corpse. I wanted to do it when it was fun. Don’t go get shot all through the year and then pop up like Bernie at Weekend at Bernie’s wanting to shoot at me now. No, n***a. Go spin. Spin the fucking block. … Are you crazy?”

Drake and Joe Budden have been at odds off and on for close to a decade now in a beef that appeared to begin after Joe publicly criticized Drake's Views album in 2016. There hasn't seemed to be any love gained since then, with both artists trading shots over the years.

Budden even referred to Drake as a “Karen” in response to his “Not Like Us”-focused lawsuit against UMG.

As for the controversy, Budden had plenty more to say on the topic.

“I just seen that shit,” he said, as heard below. “99 n***as done jumped on your ass. You out smoking hookah in turquoise boots. Don’t post me. Got get your fucking lick back.”

Later in the podcast, Budden offered an “I like Drake with the melodies” concession, referring to Drake and PND’s upcoming album together, due this week. He quickly returned, however, to a more critical perspective when saying a bit more about landing on Drake’s Finsta.

“That n***a dead as could be,” Budden said. “He’s dead as a doornail. It’s dead. Everybody left. I left. It’s just you and Ak now. You, Ak, and Adin.”
