Jim Jones shuts down the possibility of fixing his relationship with Cam’ron
The Harlem rapper is opening up about the rift between his Dipset brother amid his issues with Cam'ron.
During a recent interview with Ebro’s Apple Music Rap Life Radio show, Jim Jones has again publicly sparred for weeks, addressing the tension between him and Cam’ron.
“I don’t want people to think I’m going back and forth, I’m just telling my truth. In terms of me telling my truth, people feel they need to have a rebuttal…let them do it,” Jones explained. “People know this is not a battle at all.”
When asked if he still considers Cam to be his brother, Jones said, “Nah, it’s definitely no brotherhood.” He continued, “The brotherhood been over damn near since [The Diplomats]. That was where the brotherhood was at.”
Ebro then wondered if their relationship is fixable. “Not right now. Not something I could foresee, but who knows,” Jones said. “Right now it’s about me. I ain’t got time to focus on nothing else and no one else.”
One of their most recent squabbles came last month when Jones said he would box Cam for $10 million. Jones also appeared on The Breakfast Club, where he and Charlamagne tha God discussed how the former Dipset rapper doesn’t receive credit for helping jumpstart multiple music careers.
“They say all Jim do is send people to jail,” Charlamagne said. When Jones asked who said that, Charlamagne said it was Cam, referring to his comments on a January episode of It Is What It Is.
“Stop tricking n****s out of their freedom, bro,” Cam said at the time.
Jones then proceeded to call Cam a “bird head.”
“He don’t want no smoke,” Jones said. “I’ll box his head off. Where’s the ring at? … $10 million right now. Today n***a. I'll catch a flight wherever you at.”
