Jamie Foxx finally revealed what led to his mysterious hospitalization last year.

The Art of Dialogue, posted the moment took place in downtown Phoenix. “April 11th, last year, bad headache. Asked my boy for an Advil,” Foxx says in the clip, before snapping his fingers. “I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything,” Foxx said in a video circulating on X (formerly Twitter).

Foxx explained he was in Atlanta and visited a couple of doctors to find out what was wrong with him. One doctor told him, “‘Something going on up there.’” But the actor didn’t want to go into details.

He said his sister and daughter took him to the first doctor, but his voice trailed off, and it’s unclear what he said. The second doctor said “there’s something going on up there” he said, pointing to his head.

“I won’t say it on camera,” he said, and the crowd laughed. “Yeah, I don’t want to say it on camera.”

Foxx was hospitalized on April 11, 2023, after he reportedly suffered a “medical complication” while filming the Netflix action comedy “Back in Action” in Atlanta.

His daughter Corinne Foxx, 30, shared a statement on her Instagram Story the next day.

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne said. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Later that month, it was revealed that Foxx was “awake and alert,” while doctors attempted to ascertain what happened to him.

Several conspiracy theories circulated, including that the COVID-19 vaccine caused Foxx’s hospitalization.

Jamie Foxx immediately shot that down, saying it was “completely inaccurate.”

Foxx issued his first statement after his hospitalization on May 3, 2023, thanking his fans for their love and support.
