Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg thanks Jay-Z for bringing Hip Hop to NFL

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on Their Upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show With Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige


The announcement was revealed on Thursday (September 30), about the next Super Bowl Halftime Show headlined by Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige left fans elated. Now Dre gives more info about the event in an NFL promotional video.


“We are gonna kill it. Everybody will leave happy and excited”, promises Dr. Dre.


He mentioned the role Hov and his company Roc Nation played in making this historic event happen. Super Bowl 56 would be the first time for hip hop to be represented at such a scale─“Jay-Z is one of the main reason while we're sitting here right now,” Dre said.


“See that's Hip-Hop Dre see how Hip-Hop it's been implemented into NFL,” Snoop added.

The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career,” Dr. Dre said in a statement. “I’m grateful to JAY-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL, and Pepsi as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar for joining me in what will be an unforgettable cultural moment.


I’d never thought this moment would be happening right now. The fact that the NFL and Pepsi are allowing Hip-Hop to come into this game, I’m so honored and inspired to be able to come and do this show,” says Dr. Dre.
