DJ Khaled deletes album announcement after Drake denies having two features: “Must be Drake Bell”

DJ Khaled has deleted his album announcement for 'Aalam of God' after Drake publicly denied having two collaborations on the project.

DJ Khaled deletes album announcement after Drake refutes having two features on new project

DJ Khaled teased Drake, Jay-Z, and Rihanna features in album trailer with Mark Wahlberg.

On Tuesday, (Feb. 4.) Khaled unleashed the teaser trailer, which draws inspiration from action movies. In it, the Grammy Award winner is tasked with protecting a briefcase holding the new album. Wahlberg plays a villain who wants to get his hands on the album by employing Khaled's friend, played by Ramos, to get it by any means necessary.

The trailer, directed by Eif Rivera, shows Khaled being chased by gun-toting men, jumping off a building, and running into a car where Ramos is waiting. Wahlberg, on the other hand, has a conversation with his men about Khaled having "two Drake songs" and the possibility of having "another fucking 100-bar verse" from Jay-Z.

However, Khaled had shared a cinematic trailer on Tuesday, (Feb.), in which actor Mark Wahlberg referenced Drake’s features alongside potential appearances from Jay-Z and Rihanna. The post has since been taken down.

In his caption, Khaled had excitedly confirmed the collaborations, writing, “DRAKE’S BACK TO WORK… SO AM I! THIS THE ONE WITH DRAKE’S.” He also hinted at sending a track to Rihanna. However, Drake quickly responded to the announcement on Instagram, sarcastically commenting, “Must be @drakebell,” seemingly dismissing Khaled’s claims.

DJ Khaled dropped a 7-minute movie-inspired teaser trailer starring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Ramos for his upcoming 14th studio album, Aalam of God. Check it out below.

It’s unclear how the miscommunication arose or whether it has affected Khaled and Drake’s long-standing relationship. The two have collaborated multiple times, dating back to 2011’s “I’m On One,” followed by hits like “For Free” (2016) and “POPSTAR” (2020).

Last year, Khaled described Drake as “more of a brother than a friend” in an interview with PEOPLE, emphasizing their mutual respect and inspiration. While Drake’s involvement in Aalam of God remains uncertain, fans are left wondering whether the rapper will still appear on the highly anticipated project.
