Stephen A. and Boosie Badazz's reactions to Serena Williams’ cameo during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl 2025 halftime show "some viewers" turned heads and raised eyebrows for a number of reasons.
“If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his ass, ’cause clearly you don’t belong with me,” Smith said Monday on (Feb, 10), ESPN’s “First Take.”
“What you worried about him for and you’re with me? Bye. Bye.”
“If you were with Serena Williams, you’re going to be a kept man anyways,” co-host Ryan Clark responded. “Don’t start that.”

The tennis legend appeared during Lamar’s performance of “Not Like Us,” displaying her dance moves while Lamar rapped the hit Drake diss track.
Williams’ appearance during this particular song is no coincidence, as she dated Drake in 2011, which wound up with the Canadian rapper releasing the song “Too Good” about Williams five years later, in which he repeats the lyric, “I’m too good to you.”
Boosie Badazz believes that Williams is "hurt" after the Super Bowl LIX Apple Music Halftime Show, one being a scathing opinion about Serena Williams.
On Monday (Feb. 10), The Baton Rouge rapper posted on Twitter "X" in support of Drake amid his fallout with Kendrick Lamar. Boosie previously protested that other Louisiana natives like Master P or Birdman should've been asked to headline the halftime show.
Boosie continued by insinuating that Williams is "heartbroken" by Drake, whom she reportedly dated between 2011 and 2015, due to her cameo during the halftime show C-walking to "Not Like Us," Lamar's fiery diss against the rapper. Since 2017, the retired tennis player has been married to Alexis Ohanian, with whom she shares two daughters.
Boosie ended his rant by "congratulating" Kendrick on his performance, although he still thinks "LOUISIANA HAD ENOUGH ARTIST TO DO THEY OWN LINE UP."
Boosie BadAzz went on to say he's "not siding" with anyone, but he doesn't take "betrayal" well.
