Will Smith Teams Up with Venus and Serena Williams to Reveal the Official 'King Richard' Trailer

Beyoncé has a new song, “Be Alive,” featured in King Richard, the upcoming biopic about Serena and Venus Williams’s coach father — and now, it can be heard in a new trailer for the film.

Smith, joined by the Williams sisters themselves, introduced the new trailer via Instagram and YouTube. King Richard is set to premiere on November 19 in theaters and on HBO Max and features a new original song from the queen herself, Beyoncé. — “Be Alive” begins in the second half of the trailer, featuring a robust chorus, a full orchestra, and Bey’s signature sailing vocals.

“This one gave me chills!!” Smith said of the new trailer via social media. “Here’s our new trailer for #KingRichard featuring Beyonce’s Be Alive!! We’re less than a month away…y’all ready?”

From Joe Bell director Reinaldo Marcus Green, King Richard tells the story of the man behind tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams: their father. Smith stars as Richard Williams, a devoted and determined father dead set on ensuring his none of his children get left behind by the world.

In the trailer, Smith as Richard offers some tough love and unconditional support to Saniyaa Sidney and Demi Singleton, who play Venus and Serena. King Richard also stars Jon Bernthal, Dylan McDermott, and Tony Goldwyn, with Aunjanue Ellis as the sister’s mother Oracene “Brandi” Williams.
