A$AP Rocky and J. Cole deliver tough bars on “Ruby Rosary”
On Friday at midnight (September 6), the Harlem nattive premiered his song "Ruby Rosary" featuring J. Cole. The song, which can be heard below, finds Rocky and Cole serving bars over The Alchemist-produced beat. Lyrically, the two rhymers approach their verses a bit differently over a melodic, soulful piano groove.
“Ruby Rosary” is a preview from A$AP Rocky’s new album Don’t Be Dumb, following “Highjack.” (“Tailor Swif” will not be on the album.) The Testing follow-up does not yet have a release date.
It’s also the first Alchemist-produced Rocky track and a rare collaboration between J. Cole and the Alchemist, who’ve worked together only a handful of times.
Take a Listen to “Ruby Rosary.” The track is expected to land on Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb project, which was originally set to arrive in late August. The rapper decided to push the release into the fall, citing unauthorized drops and clearance issues.
