On Monday (Feb. 24), Fif responded to Budden’s threat of legal action following a week-long online trolling on Instagram.
On a recent episode of Joe Budden's podcast, he responded to Fif's continued mocking of him on social media. “Because that’s illegal,” Joe Budden said. “You can’t take all those AI pics and just start [posting them].”
“That’s 50. I got all the respect for him in the world,” Budden continued. “But if I get tired of it, and it stops paying, then, yeah, it’s lawyer time.”
50 Cent posted Budden’s response to his own Instagram, and added a mocking caption.
“So that’s the plan [laughing emoji],” he wrote. “[Y]ou gonna sue me Joe. Hahaha I think you are mistaken me for someone else. I’m a get face to face wit you, so you can tell me about the therapy I need.”
"50's been posting me for seven days in a row," he said. "If I have a problem with it, we're getting lawyers involved." He suggested that the posting of unauthorized AI-generated images—especially without stating they're AI-generated and not real photos—is "illegal."
"You can't do that," he said. "But I don't have a problem with it, and I think that's corny. And that's 50, I got all the respect in the world for him. But if I get tired of it, and it stops paying, then yeah, it's lawyer time."
Budden, 50 Cent issues kicked off after Budden suggested on his podcast that 50 Cent should consider therapy because of his chaotic behavior online. Following Irv Gotti's death, 50 shared an image of himself smoking hookah while sitting on a couch with a tombstone that says "RIP," including an old photo of Gotti. "I’m smoking on dat Gotti pack, nah God bless him 🕊️LOL," he wrote under the post.
50 Cent didn't take kindly to the comment and responded by sharing a series of AI-generated images of Budden sleepwalking naked.
Budden was recently recorded on video sleepwalking in the nude and attempting to enter his neighbor's apartment. The incident resulted in a court case, which he was ultimately able to beat.
