CT’ Governor Lamont declared Aug. 11 as 50 Cent’s Day
50Cent has officially been honored with his own day in Connecticut.
On Friday (August 11), the same day as the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop, television mogul was presented with a certificate declaring August 11 as “50 Cent Day” in HARTFORD, Connecticut by the state’s governor Ned Lamont.
This past Friday was Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson day in Hartford CT,” The New York rapper reacted to the news. Fif captioned the post on Instagram “The energy was so good, it made me remember why I moved to CT.”
50 Cent’s The Final Lap Tour continued on Friday on Hip Hop’s 50th birthday where he took over Hartford’s XFINITY Center for another energetic show following a pair of dates in Brooklyn.
“In honor of @50cent performing at the Xfnity Theatre. I hearby proclaim it 50 Cent Day in the State of Connecticut. Hm, maybe we convinced him to move back to CT,” Lamont said in a post on Twitter.com.
